Basketball Recap: Washington County Takes a Loss

Washington County has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 44-33 to the Central Chargers on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 34-30 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Washington County still got an impressive performance from Aeria Hagans, who posted 11 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Jade Kitchens, who had 13 points.

Washington County's defeat dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Washington County nor Central have any future games scheduled.
