Leander proved they can win big on Friday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past the Rouse Raiders 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Leander had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 19-25, 25-22, 25-20, 15-13.

Leander's win bumped their record up to 25-20. As for Rouse, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 26-20.

Leander didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Smithson Valley on the 30th. As for Rouse, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against New Braunfels on the 30th.
