Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Tuesday. Dayspring Christian Academy put the hurt on Rocky Mountain Lutheran with a sharp 13-0 victory. Dayspring Christian Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by ten runs or more this season.

Gage Davis made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Logan Vaniddekinge and Josiah Rodriguez did most of the damage at the plate: Vaniddekinge went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double, while Rodriguez got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most RBI Vaniddekinge has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Bohl, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Dayspring Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rocky Mountain Lutheran only posted an OBP of .176.

Dayspring Christian Academy's record is now 11-3. As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Dayspring Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-1 win against Clear Creek on the 24th. As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran, they have also already played their next contest, an 11-1 victory against Front Range Baptist on the 24th.
