Perry gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 46-18 victory over the Baldwin Braves. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Braves recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Reid Ginn went supernova, throwing for 328 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per attempt. Those 328 passing yards gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Thompson, who picked up 108 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Perry didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Baldwin to a completion percentage of just 50%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from two players: Noah Clark and Johntavious Carswell, who each logged three passes deflected. Perry wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 62.5%.

Perry didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. It was a group effort, with five picking up one apiece.

Despite the loss, Baldwin still got an impressive performance from Charlie Warren, who picked up 130 receiving yards and two TDs. Warren was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 64 yards.

Perry didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 27-6 defeat against Peach County on the 22nd. As for Baldwin, they have also already played their next contest, an 18-13 victory against Northside on the 22nd.
