Recap: Lawrence Tigers vs. White Pigeon Chiefs
The Lawrence Tigers lost against the White Pigeon Chiefs back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Lawrence took a hard 65-48 fall against White Pigeon.
When it comes to explaining why Lawrence lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ben McCaw. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. McCaw scored a full 41.7% of Lawrence's points, the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dillon Simpson, who scored four points along with 16 rebounds.
Lawrence has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for White Pigeon, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.
Lawrence will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Centreville at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024. One thing working in Centreville's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups. White Pigeon will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Constantine at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
