Volleyball Recap: Desert Mountain Wolves vs. McClintock Chargers

With a playoff game on the line, Desert Mountain rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the McClintock Chargers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolves also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-9, 23-25, 25-13.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Desert Mountain to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kara Hairston, who had 16 digs and three aces. Hairston is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayana Conklin, who had 11 digs and 25 assists.

Desert Mountain was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October.

Desert Mountain's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-18. As for McClintock, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-6.

Desert Mountain will square off against Notre Dame Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. McClintock does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
