Softball Recap: Permian Takes a Loss

Permian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Frenship Tigers. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Permian's loss dropped their record down to 13-9-2. As for Frenship, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-2.

Permian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Midland at 6:30 p.m. on April 4. As for Frenship, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Frenship Tigers challenge San Angelo Central Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. San Angelo Central has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.17 runs per game on average), something Frenship will no doubt try to take advantage of.
