Basketball Game Preview: Piedmont Classical Bobcats vs. Carver Yellowjackets

The Piedmont Classical Bobcats will head out to face off against the Carver Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Piedmont Classical is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.3 points per game this season.

Piedmont Classical is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Phoenix Academy last Friday. Piedmont Classical simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Phoenix Academy 66-28. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 29 points or more this season.

Piedmont Classical's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Colby Carter, who went 7 of 8 en route to 18 points and six rebounds, and Kaeden Williams, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 17 points. The dominant performance gave Carter a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalen Ferrell, who posted 11 points along with six assists and six boards.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Carver's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 60-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Stokes.

Carver's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Piedmont Classical, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.

Piedmont Classical didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Carver when the teams last played back in February, but they still walked away with a 63-58 win.
