Basketball Game Preview: Louisville Leopards vs. Avon Lake Shoremen

The Louisville Leopards will head out to challenge the Avon Lake Shoremen at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Louisville will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Louisville is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Wooster: they outscored them in every quarter. Louisville enjoyed a cozy 45-29 win over Wooster on Saturday. Given the Leopards' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Generals are ranked 613th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Avon Lake humbled Garrett Morgan with a 55-14 victory. The Shoremen have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 24 points or more this season.

Avon Lake has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.5 points over those games. As for Louisville, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-12.
