Basketball Recap: Mount Calvary Christian Beats Covenant Christian Academy for Their Sixth Straight Win

Mount Calvary Christian posted their biggest victory since February 9, 2024 on Monday. They blew past Covenant Christian Academy 48-23. Winning may never get old, but the Chargers sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Mount Calvary Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jj Cuneo, who went 6 of 10 to rack up 13 points and five rebounds. Cuneo is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Josiah Masters, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 12 points and four blocks.

Mount Calvary Christian pushed their record up to 13-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Covenant Christian Academy, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

Mount Calvary Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 74-47 loss against La Academia Charter on the 7th.
