Basketball Game Preview: South Dade Buccaneers vs. Braddock Bulldogs

The South Dade Buccaneers will head out to square off against the Braddock Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

South Dade is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Monsignor Pace on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. South Dade came up short against Monsignor Pace, falling 61-40. While losing is never fun, the Buccaneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 387th, while the Spartans are ranked 161st).

Justice Sheppard put forth a good effort for the losing side as she posted ten points and six assists.

Meanwhile, Braddock came up short against TERRA Environmental on Monday and fell 43-30. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Dade's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Braddock, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.

South Dade was dealt a bruising 55-19 loss at the hands of Braddock in their previous matchup back in November of 2023. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point South Dade was down 34-10.
