Soccer Game Preview: Weaver vs. Jacksonville

The Weaver Bearcats will kick their season off against the Jacksonville Golden Eagles on Tuesday. Kickoff is scheduled at 7:30 p.m.

Last Friday, Jacksonville had just enough and edged out Cherokee County 2-1. The Golden Eagles' winning goal came courtesy of Elijah Stinson.

Jacksonville now has a winning record of 2-1.

As for Weaver, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they finished 2-18.

Weaver might still be hurting after the 8-0 loss they got from Jacksonville in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Can Weaver avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
