Softball Game Preview: O'Bryant Tigers vs. Lynn Classical Rams

The O'Bryant Tigers will square off against the Lynn Classical Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: O'Bryant has struggled recently with seven losses in a row, while Lynn Classical will arrive with four straight victories.

Last Wednesday, O'Bryant came up short against Ursuline Academy and fell 8-4.

Meanwhile, Lynn Classical got the win against Chelsea on Monday by a conclusive 17-3. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven runs or more this season.

Aliany Ramirez spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Emma Chevalier was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Brooke Braswell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Lynn Classical kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matchups.

Lynn Classical's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.3 runs over those games. As for O'Bryant, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.
