Baseball Game Preview: Mansfield Senior Tygers vs. Lexington Minutemen

For the second straight game, Mansfield Senior will face off against Lexington. The Tygers will square off against the Minutemen at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Lexington hit Mansfield Senior with a five-run sixth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tygers came up short against the Minutemen, falling 9-2. The Tygers haven't had much luck with the Minutemen recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Mansfield Senior saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Guy Trader, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and one RBI. Trader has become a key player for the Tygers: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 4-10 otherwise.

Lexington's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-9. As for Mansfield Senior, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.
