Soccer Recap: Cross Lanes Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against James Monroe last Saturday, Cross Lanes Christian came back down to earth. The Warriors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ohio Valley Christian on Tuesday. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Cross Lanes Christian couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Malachi McCormick, who's now up to two this season.

Cross Lanes Christian now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Ohio Valley Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cross Lanes Christian will square off against Calvary Baptist Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be Cross Lanes Christian's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Ohio Valley Christian, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Belpre at 12:00 p.m. on the 13th.
