Baseball Game Preview: Hackensack Comets vs. Midland Park Panthers

The Hackensack Comets will face off against the Midland Park Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hackensack's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three contests, but Thursday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

Hackensack made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Northern Highlands, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Comets fell just short of the Highlanders by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Comets have suffered since May 13, 2025.

Meanwhile, Midland Park was able to grind out a solid victory over Wood-Ridge on Wednesday, taking the game 9-6. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Hackensack's loss dropped their record down to 11-13-1. As for Midland Park, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.
