Basketball Recap: Antwerp Takes a Loss

Antwerp lost against Montpelier back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Antwerp Archers fell to the Montpelier Locomotives 38-33. While losing is never fun, the Archers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 561st, while the Locomotives are ranked 216th).

Antwerp has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Montpelier, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5.

Antwerp will challenge Hicksville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Antwerp is facing Hicksville at the right time seeing as Hicksville is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Montpelier, they will be playing at home against Edon at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
