Baseball Game Preview: Eastside Eagles vs. Gaffney Indians

For the second straight game, Eastside will face off against Gaffney. Eastside will venture away from home to face off against Gaffney at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

While Eastside didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They skirted past Gaffney 5-3.

For Gaffney's part, Braden Beattie was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that Beattie launched this season.

Eastside is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. Gaffney's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-6.
