Volleyball Recap: Waldron Mohawks vs. Hauser Jets
Waldron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hauser Jets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mohawks of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
While Waldron had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 14 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-16, 22-25, 25-14.
Even though they lost, Waldron was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've posted in their last seven matchups.
Waldron's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Hauser, the win snapped their losing streak at 11 games and leaves them with a 4-17 record.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waldron will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against South Decatur at 6:30 p.m. South Decatur is coming into the match with five straight victories at home, so Waldron will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Hauser, they will venture away from home to challenge Southwestern at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
