Basketball Recap: McCormick Takes a Loss

McCormick was the 51-45 winner over Ware Shoals when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The McCormick Chiefs fell just short of the Ware Shoals Hornets by a score of 50-47 on Tuesday. The Chiefs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ware Shoals found their leader in sophomore Stella Eichhorn, who dropped a double-double on 33 points and 26 boards. With that strong performance, Eichhorn is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game. Another player making a difference was Bella Davis, who posted ten points.

McCormick now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Ware Shoals, their record now sits at 7-10.

McCormick will challenge Calhoun Falls Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ware Shoals, they will face off against Thornwell at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th.
