Spanish Springs strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Carson Senators 38-0. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Nevada football rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Senators are ranked 37th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tyson McNeil was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 320 yards and four TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes. Those 320 passing yards gave him a new career-high. A healthy portion of McNeil's aerial production (81 yards to be exact) went to Brady Hummel, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Spanish Springs didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Hummel.

Spanish Springs' victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Carson, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Spanish Springs is taking a road trip to challenge Pleasant Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Carson, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Reed at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th.
