Madera hadn't done well against Torres recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Coyotes' defense stepped up to hand the Toros a 12-0 shutout. This was a revenge game for the Coyotes: when they faced off against the Toros back in August, they had to take a 18-12 loss.

Madera is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.4 points on average over those games. As for Torres, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-11.
