Soccer Recap: Reavis Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Reavis's offense. They lost 7-0 to the Pleasant Valley Spartans on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Reavis can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 147th in Illinois, while Pleasant Valley are ranked 18th in Iowa).

Reavis has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7-1 record this season. As for Pleasant Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Reavis will take on Evergreen Park at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Reavis will be up against Evergreen Park's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.93 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Pleasant Valley, they will welcome Davenport Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
