Recap: Beacon of Hope Christian Eagles vs. Zarephath Academy Eagles
If the Beacon of Hope Christian Eagles were riding high off their 77-56 takedown of the United Brethren in Christ Academy Rams last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Beacon of Hope Christian took a hard 94-80 fall against Zarephath Academy on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Thursday (77), Beacon of Hope Christian still had to take the loss.
Despite the defeat, Beacon of Hope Christian saw an underclassman step up: Trisdan Fuller scored 41 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fuller has scored all season. Marquis Sams was another key contributor, scoring 20 points.
Beacon of Hope Christian has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Zarephath Academy, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beacon of Hope Christian will face off against Halifax Academy on Tuesday. Zarephath Academy will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Trinity Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on January 20th. Trinity Christian Academy will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
