Basketball Game Preview: Aubrey Rogers Patriots vs. Estero Wildcats

The Aubrey Rogers Patriots will head out on the road to take on the Estero Wildcats at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Aubrey Rogers is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

Last Thursday, Aubrey Rogers was fully in charge, breezing past Community School of Naples 59-16. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 21 points or more this season.

Angelina Insana was her usual excellent self, putting up 23 points. That's the most points she has posted since back in January of 2024. Ella Johnson was another key player, earning 13 points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Estero, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They snuck past Naples with a 51-46 victory on Friday.

Aubrey Rogers has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.8 points per game. As for Estero, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4.

Everything came up roses for Aubrey Rogers against Estero when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the squad secured an 82-36 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Aubrey Rogers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
