Basketball Recap: Vanlue Comes Up Short

Vanlue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Elmwood Royals, falling 51-30. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Royals from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Vanlue lost, don't look at Owen Roszman. Despite the final result, he posted ten points and three steals. Roszman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played.

Vanlue's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Elmwood, their win bumped their record up to 3-10.

Vanlue and Temple Christian will face off at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Elmwood has already played their next match (against St. Joseph Central Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
