Basketball Game Preview: Eastern Comets vs. Clinton Central Bulldogs

The Eastern Comets will head out to face off against the Clinton Central Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eastern is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Eastern was beaten by Oak Hill 62-22. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 67th).

Meanwhile, Clinton Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against Sheridan, falling 54-29.

Eastern's loss dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Clinton Central, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-5.

Eastern might still be hurting after the 53-29 loss they got from Clinton Central in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Thankfully for Eastern, Sara Parkison (who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
