Volleyball Recap: Lawrence-Nelson Raiders vs. Silver Lake Mustangs
Lawrence-Nelson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Silver Lake Mustangs. If the Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Lawrence-Nelson started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 13-25, 25-14, 25-17, 25-9.
Brynn Harrison paced Lawrence-Nelson's offense, picking up six kills. Harrison really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with seven. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
Lawrence-Nelson's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Silver Lake, they pushed their record up to 8-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
