Softball Game Preview: Water Valley Blue Devils vs. Myrtle Hawks

The Water Valley Blue Devils will challenge the Myrtle Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Water Valley managed to slip by Strayhorn the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Blue Devils came up short against the Mustangs on Thursday, falling 20-3.

Water Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addy Douglas, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Myrtle's offense. They lost 11-0 to East Union on Tuesday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Hawks, who until this contest were averaging 3.86 runs allowed.

Water Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Myrtle, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-7.
