Baseball Game Preview: Taft Raiders vs. Harlan Hawks

For the second straight game, Taft will face off against Harlan. The Raiders will square off against the Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Taft has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 10.

Taft fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Harlan on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Raiders have suffered since February 28th.

ETHAN BARRERA was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was EDUARDO TORAL, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Harlan has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Taft, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.
