Baseball Recap: Constitution Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Constitution). They were the clear victors by a 22-7 margin over the Roxborough Wolves on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Generals, who have now won three contests by 14 runs or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Constitution's third in a row) raised their record to 3-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.0 runs over those games. As for Roxborough, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Constitution will be playing in front of their home fans against Martin Luther King at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.6 runs per game on average), something the Generals will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Roxborough, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 18-3 defeat against Swenson Arts & Tech on the 13th.
