With a playoff win on the line, Umatilla rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the South Sumter Raiders 9-7. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Raiders on Tuesday, they had to take a 4-2 defeat.
