Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for South Lafourche

South Lafourche came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the A.J. Ellender Patriots by a score of 6-3. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tarpons also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Jack Ledet made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Ledet was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Josh Mack, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Jacob Pierce was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

South Lafourche's victory bumped their record up to 18-8. As for A.J. Ellender, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-18.

South Lafourche didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-4 win against Bourgeois on the 4th. As for A.J. Ellender, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-4 loss against Centerville on the 4th.
