Softball Recap: Strafford Takes a Loss

Strafford fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Springfield Catholic on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Fighting Irish by a score of 8-7. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Fighting Irish earlier this season, when they won 13-7.

Dalyce Scrivener was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.

Strafford's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Springfield Catholic, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Strafford will be playing at home against Buffalo at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Springfield Catholic, they will head out on the road to take on Reeds Spring at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
