Football Game Preview: Meyersdale Red Raiders vs. Westinghouse Bulldogs + How To Watch

The Meyersdale Red Raiders will be playing at home against the Westinghouse Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meyersdale is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.

Meyersdale is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They snuck past Conemaugh Township with a 20-14 victory. The game was the first time the Red Raiders have beaten the Indians on their field since October 14, 2016.

Meyersdale got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Caleb Sines out in front who picked up 107 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 107 yards. Sines also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making six total tackles (1.5 for loss) and defending one pass. Spencer Whitfield also helped with two TDs in total.

Meyersdale didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Conemaugh Township to a completion percentage of just 45.5%. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for Meyersdale; they were averaging 60.2%completion percentage earlier this season, but in their last three contests they've fallen to only 0%.

Meanwhile, Westinghouse played a tough matchup back in October in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against USO [University Prep/Sci-Tech/Obama Academy], falling 26-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Bulldogs were not able to get on the board.

Westinghouse has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-3 record this season. As for Meyersdale, their record now sits at 11-1.
