Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Madeline Mcgill and Addison Wallen Lead West Liberty-Salem to Victory

West Liberty-Salem won against Jonathan Alder last Monday with 38 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The West Liberty-Salem Tigers secured a 38-34 W over the Mechanicsburg Indians. The victory was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Leading West Liberty-Salem to victory were Addison Wallen and Madeline McGill. Wallen posted 17 points in addition to six steals and five rebounds, while McGill scored eight points and 13 boards. Wallen continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

West Liberty-Salem smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.

West Liberty-Salem's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Mechanicsburg, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-8.

Coming up, West Liberty-Salem will challenge Anna at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Anna will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something West Liberty-Salem surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mechanicsburg, they will take on Newark Catholic in a tournament on Thursday.
