Softball Game Preview: Washington Wildcats vs. Leavenworth PIONEERS

Washington hasn't had much luck against Leavenworth recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the PIONEERS at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Washington is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Shawnee Mission South, falling 15-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Wildcats haven't been shut out since back in March.

Meanwhile, Leavenworth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 19-3 to Seaman.

Leavenworth's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Washington, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
