Basketball Recap: Lakeland Comes Up Short

Lakeland lost against King's Fork back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lakeland Cavaliers were outmatched by the King's Fork Bulldogs and fell 82-45. The match marked the Cavaliers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Lakeland has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for King's Fork, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Lakeland has already played their next matchup (against Holmes), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. King's Fork won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Northeastern at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. King's Fork knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Northeastern likes a good challenge.
