Baseball Recap: Warren Central Gets the Win

Warren Central won against Mobile Christian on Friday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Warren Central Vikings skirted past the Pascagoula Panthers 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Vikings have posted since February 22nd.

Warren Central got a great performance from Beau Bradley as he didn't allow a single earned run over 5.1 innings pitched. Bradley also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Warren Central is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-8 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Maddox Lynch, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024.

Warren Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. Pascagoula has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Warren Central will face off against Madison-Ridgeland Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pascagoula, they will head out on the road to take on Picayune at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Picayune has five straight victories, Pascagoula has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
