Volleyball Game Preview: Clairemont Chieftains vs. Sage Hill Lightning

The Clairemont Chieftains will venture away from home to take on the Sage Hill Lightning at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Clairemont comes in on six and Sage Hill on 11.

Clairemont is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They skirted past Santa Ynez 3-2.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Clairemont who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-20, 24-26, 25-21, 19-25, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Sage Hill made easy work of Taft on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

While Sage Hill might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Taft scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-19, 25-18.

Sage Hill pushed their record up to 21-11 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Clairemont, their victory bumped their record up to 28-10.
