Softball Recap: Brazoswood Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Deer Park, Brazoswood was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Clear Creek Wildcats a 4-0 shutout. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The team relied heavily on Ali Rios, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February.

Brazoswood's win bumped their record up to 14-10-1. As for Clear Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-6 record this season.
