Basketball Recap: North Hills Prep vs. Hampton Prep

It was a good run, but North Hills Prep unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 59-33 walloping at the hands of Hampton Prep. North Hills Prep has not had much luck with the recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

North Hills Prep lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Grant Jackson, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ajali Ammah, who scored nine points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hampton Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dominic Phillips, who scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Phillips has scored all season. Braelyn Duncan was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.

North Hills Prep's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6. As for Hampton Prep, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7.

North Hills Prep will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. As for Hampton Prep, they will head out on the road to square off against the at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Universal Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the in Texas (the are ranked 342nd, while the are ranked 998th).
