Baseball Recap: Christ Our Rock Lutheran Beats Marissa/Coulterville for Their Fourth Straight Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Christ Our Rock Lutheran walked away with it. They were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Marissa/Coulterville Meteors on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Silver Stallions, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Christ Our Rock Lutheran's fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-9. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Marissa/Coulterville, their loss dropped their record down to 14-6.

Coming up, Christ Our Rock Lutheran will challenge Father McGivney Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Silver Stallions 3.1, the Griffins 2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Marissa/Coulterville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
