Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Horizon

Horizon entered their tilt with Centaurus on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Warriors. For the Hawks, this counts as revenge for the 10-6 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2025.

Drew Williams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Horizon is 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 6-7 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cooper Brennan, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Diego Cabrera was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Horizon now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Centaurus, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Horizon will venture away from home to face off against Monarch at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Centaurus, they will head out to square off against Silver Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Raptors will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
