Basketball Game Preview: Greenway Demons vs. Moon Valley Rockets

The Greenway Demons will take on the Moon Valley Rockets at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Moon Valley took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Greenway, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Greenway humbled Shadow Mountain with a 57-18 victory. The Demons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 30 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Moon Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by Paradise Honors and fell 52-15. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Panthers are ranked 48th).

Greenway has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.2 points per game. As for Moon Valley, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Everything came up roses for Greenway against Moon Valley when the teams last played on January 15th, as the team secured a 52-22 win. Will Greenway repeat their success, or does Moon Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
