Soccer Recap: Mingo Central Takes a Loss

Mingo Central managed to slip by Chapmanville Regional the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Miners lost 8-1 to the Tigers on Tuesday. Mingo Central were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Chapmanville Regional apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Mingo Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-6-1. As for Chapmanville Regional, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mingo Central will take on Westside at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mingo Central will be up against Westside's rather soft defense (which has allowed 9.5 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Chapmanville Regional, they will challenge Sherman at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Chapmanville Regional's defense better be ready for this one: Sherman have averaged an impressive 4.2 goals per game this season.
