Baseball Game Preview: Coronado Islanders vs. St. Augustine Saints

The Coronado Islanders will face off against the St. Augustine Saints at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses for Coronado and six for St. Augustine.

Friday just wasn't the day for Coronado's offense. They fell just short of Patrick Henry by a score of 2-0 on Friday.

Meanwhile, St. Augustine also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Cathedral Catholic on Thursday, falling 6-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Saints have suffered since February 28th.

Coronado's defeat dropped their record down to 7-19. As for St. Augustine, their loss dropped their record down to 9-17.

Coronado couldn't quite get it done against St. Augustine in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 as they fell 5-1. Can the Islanders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
