There's no place like home for Dinwiddie, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They took down the Meadowbrook Monarchs 64-50 on Thursday. The Generals haven't had any issues with the Monarchs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Dinwiddie's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Madisyn Hurtt led the charge by putting up 18 points. Hurtt's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Sharodin Belton, who posted ten points.

Dinwiddie's win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Meadowbrook, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season.

Dinwiddie and Meadowbrook could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. Dinwiddie will challenge Hanover at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 201 places (245 vs. 44). Meanwhile, Meadowbrook (ranked 358th) will meet Maggie Walker (ranked 168th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
