Soccer Game Preview: Mission Bay vs. Central

The Mission Bay Buccaneers will take on the Central Spartans at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mission Bay will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Mission Bay is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Canyon Crest Academy a 1-0 shutout. The Buccaneers' winning goal came courtesy of Spencer Morton.

Meanwhile, Central hasn't lost a match since January 24th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 5-0 margin over Granite Hills. Considering the Spartans have won 13 matches by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Mission Bay's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those five contests. As for Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-2 record this season.
