Softball Game Preview: West Orange-Stark Mustangs vs. Lumberton Raiders

West Orange-Stark hasn't had much luck against Lumberton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The West Orange-Stark Mustangs are taking a road trip to square off against the Lumberton Raiders at 6:30 p.m. West Orange-Stark has given up an average of 8.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

West Orange-Stark lost 21-1 to Vidor on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Mustangs have lost by exactly 20 runs.

Meanwhile, Lumberton came up short against Little Cypress-Mauriceville on Tuesday, falling 20-3.

Lumberton has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for West Orange-Stark and nudges their season record down to 12-7-2.

West Orange-Stark suffered a grim 14-2 defeat to Lumberton in their previous meeting back in January. Can West Orange-Stark avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
